It's a holiday cliche to have to shop for the one guy who "has everything". It's not as though it's literally true; they don't have a miniature carousel built into their living room floor or a magnet-suspended jellyfish aquarium. The problem is they think they have everything they could ever want. Their toys are the best toys and they buy them for themselves long before the carols start sneaking back onto the ClearChannel. These are the people who tend to own Apple products.
So what do you get your beloved Apple addict for the celebration of yuletide? It's not like you can up the ante and buy them a better phone than the 4S they've already secured. They've got the best tablet and probably what they consider to be the best desktop and laptop computers on the market. There's no chance of gifting them with electronic staples, but like all toy collectors, they'll always welcome the opportunity to enhance their collection with toys for their toys. Giving gifts that celebrate the gadgets they already own is a sure way to flatter and delight your Apple junkie.
The Bookbook
iBook, Macbook, Netbook, Powerbook. There have been a lot of books out there, but none of them have actually looked terribly much like their analog namesake. The guys at Twelve South sought to change all that, designing a Macbook cover that makes your beloved machine look exactly like an old, dusty tome when closed. These handcrafted leather cases look awesome and help keep your computer as sturdy and reliable as ink on paper. There's even an iPhone version, which opens and closes like a little pocket dictionary and features pockets for your ID and credit cards.
Bluetooth keyboard
There are a lot of things that the iPhone and its larger tablet cousin can boast, but having tactile keys is not one of them. If you know someone who's adopted the iPad as their primary computer but hasn't figured out that it's much more comfortable to type on an actual keyboard, make sure to pick them up a little wireless set of keys. They'll be able to pen emails and write papers with all the ease of someone using a decade-old computer. The Kensington Keyfolio is an especially classy piece of hardware that comes in its own case and props up the iPad for easy reading.
Extra batteries
So maybe they're more practical than cute and clever, but who couldn't use a little extra juice for their phones or computers in dire situations? Pick up an iPhone, iPad, or Macbook-compatible battery pack for your Applecore buddies on the go. I'm especially a fan of those batteries hidden inside sleek cases for a no-bulk method of securing some extra usage hours.
An awesome dock
Plugging your iPhone directly into the wall may be a functional way to charge it, but it doesn't really show off your Apple swag appropriately. Pick up an aesthetically pleasing charging dock for full points with your 4S aficionado. I'm a fan of this combo docking station and headset, which allows you to chat via an old-school Bluetooth-enabled receiver while your phone is juicing up across the room.
